Costa signs Bassmaster Elite Series angler Casey Ashley to title spot

Costa sunglasses recently signed on as the title sponsor for Bassmaster Elite Series angler Casey Ashley. The news comes as Ashley prepares to compete in the 2011 Elite Series, starting with The Sunshine Showdown Mar. 10 - 13, in Tavares, Fla.

This is Ashley's fifth year competing in the Bassmaster Elite Series, with nine Top 10 tournament finishes to his name. He has been a member of Costa's pro staff since 2007. This year, as title sponsor, Costa will custom wrap Ashley's Triton boat and Toyota Tundra, as well as design his tournament jerseys. Ashley casts a line toward Nashville

Casey Ashley hopes to make some waves in Music City this year as he adds the finishing touches to a country music demo album. He hopes this abbreviated album will positively affect professional fishing, as well as get him some work on Music Row in Nashville, Tenn.

In the meantime, though, the Elite Series angler will be featured on the Costa stage at the New Orleans Arena Friday, Feb. 18, at 3:30 p.m. CST. His show is scheduled just prior to weigh-in, and is free of charge. Read More

 
Randy Montana, Casey Ashley to perform at 2011 Bassmaster Classic
Mercury/Nashville recording artist Randy Montana and Casey Ashley have signed on to perform live, free concerts from the Costa stage for thousands of fishing fans filling the New Orleans Arena during the 2011 Bassmaster Classic. Jewel signs Elite angler Casey Ashley to pro team

BAKERSFIELD, Mo. — Jewel Bait Co. announces the signing of Bassmaster Elite Series angler Casey Ashley to its pro staff.

Ashley enters 2011 as his sixth season of fishing the BASS tournament trail. Over the course of the 54 events he's fished to date, the Donalds, S.C., angler has had nine top 10 finishes, including a win on Virginia's Smith Mountain Lake. Z-MAN: How good did it feel to finish in the top 10 on your home lake - Clarks Hill?

CASEY: Oh man, it feels really good. It’s a place I’ve spent a whole bunch of time. It’s pretty much where I cut my teeth in tournament fishing, and I actually caught my first bass at Clarks Hill. So I’ve got a lot of history there, and I’ve put in a lot of time there. You just have such high expectations to do well. Especially after the first day when I came in and only had 8 pounds, I was pretty disgusted, but it all worked out. I’ve never seen that lake fish that tough. Read More

 
Casey Ashley Concert to start TOT
Triton BASS Pro and Bass Elite Angler and Country Singer Casey Ashley backed by the Great River Road Band will perform a concert during Thursday's dinner at the Triton Owners Tournament. Casey who is an up and coming star on the BASS Tour also has been offered a career as a country singer. For those of you who have not heard Casey sing you are in for a real treat as he has as much singing talent as he does fishing talent. Concert is scheduled for 4:00 PM CST and will last until dinner is over. Mandatory rules meeting will begin at 6:00 PM.
